Be authentic: I think my success as a fashion designer and inspirational role model is because people recognize my authenticity. When I selected my ten models for my a Project Runway finale zero waste collection, we all looked around and realized that we were creating a moment in the fashion industry. I was the oldest ever contestant and my models included the first ever non binary model, a transgender model, a wheelchair user, a model, with a prosthetic leg and models of different colors, ages and sizes.
